How to solve all problems with GRUB. Linux equivalent of fdisk /mbr. About GRUB. Repairing GRUB. GRUB placement options. NTFS support. Logical Volume Management. Progs to manage partitions (PMagic equivalent, scan, defrag). How to move partitions

GRUB:

  • it must have an option to modify settings such as timeout, list order, display, etc right on the grub screen without “prompt” settings that noone can remember
  • it must have an option to delete/hide itself in the boot window
  • if it detects a problem, do not jump to blank screen with some arcane text. Instead, either display error and proceed to load windoza, or detect that a linux partition has been moved or resized and fix itself.
