My project to switch entirely to Open Source Operating System and programs

For at least a few different reasons, I have decided to switch entirely to Open Source software, including both the operating systems and the programs. This is important to you for at least a few reasons:

1) You might follow me and switch to Open Source software

2) You might keep Windows, but replace as much as possible of your paid programs with free or better Open Source software.

Transfer to Open Source. While some of you are looking towards Vista, I am looking forward to the date when I can transfer to Linux and all Open Source programs. At the moment, I am:

a) Waiting for Linux to get NTFS write support.

b) Creating a list of all of my programs, and documenting whether they are paid for, freeware, or Open Source.

c) Trying to convert all of the programs on that list to Open Source programs.

b) Creating this website. This website has multiple goals:

i) To document problems and bugs with Open Source and other programs so that they get fixed.

ii) Documenting my progress of Open Source conversion.

iii) Making it easier for YOU to find out whether Open Source, free, or better alternatives exist to the programs you are using (along the usual documentation of problems with that software and solution to those problems)
